Every week the Knesset passes laws that affect our lives…or someone’s life. Here are the ones that were passed last week.
Amendment to Senior Citizen Law – Government Bill – The law allows people over 80 to cut to the front of the line at government offices, banks, the post office, theaters, museums, large stores and other sites. Now that’s a law everyone can get behind. Or in front of! Am I right? In all seriousness, when I saw this law, I thought yea! That makes sense. But not a month ago I was waiting at a pharmacy and a very old woman was waiting behind me and I could have very easily given her my number and I didn’t. Thomas Hobbes proven right once again.
